These symptoms may be signs of skin prone to seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp or face, or temporary imbalances linked to excess sebum production (also known as hyperseborrhea).

These imbalances occur in areas rich in sebaceous glands such as the scalp, face (forehead, sides of the nose, between the eyebrows, chin) and skin folds. They can affect teenagers and adults, but also babies, in which case they are referred to as cradle cap.

Sebodiane® DS is an effective skincare range for skin prone to flaking and redness. It includes two products designed to soothe, purify and protect irritated skin, as well as a shampoo to soothe irritated scalps and eliminate flakes and dandruff.

Dr. Emmanuelle Lemery, R&D Manager Noreva – Sebodiane DS® Evolving in flare-ups, seborrheic dermatitis varies with age. Rare before puberty, it peaks between the ages of 18 and 50, with a male predominance. The main functional signs are itching, associated with a superficial burning sensation.
It takes the form of red, scaly patches, more or less pruritic, predominating in areas rich in sebaceous glands: seborrheic zones. In adults, the topography of lesions is suggestive: scalp, eyebrows, nasolabial fold, mid-thoracic region. It often has an impact on the quality of life of sufferers. In infants, a related pathology, linked to the genital crisis, manifests itself in the form of “cradle cap” on the scalp or diaper rash.
Factors likely to contribute to the development of seborrheic dermatitis and its outbreaks include: sebaceous production, Malassezia-type yeasts, and external factors such as periods of stress or climatic variations. Providing an effective solution for all ages was important to us, given the psychological impact of this pathology.
